Originally founded in 1963 by the American Steamship Club, the club was purchased by the members in 1990, when it became a private, membership-only organization. Since then, North Ranch Country Club has grown to include additional amenities, including a tennis program and three golf courses: The Valley Course - A nine-hole course that covers 3,358 yards, the Valley Course is often referred to as a thinking man’s course. It requires accurate placement and well-placed approach shots. The Lakes Course - Also a nine- hole course, the Lakes Course encompasses 3,542 yards and is the longest of the club’s three courses. Formerly known as the Conway Course, the Lakes Course features one of the region’s toughest, holes as voted by Southland Golf Magazine. The Oaks Course - The North Ranch Club’s most difficult nine-hole course, the Oaks Course spans 3,400 yards. This course increases the difficulty by avoiding level lies when approaching greens.
